Pharmaceutical Temperature Monitoring Guide
Temperature monitoring is a critical component of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP). Pharmaceutical products, especially vaccines and biologics, must be stored within defined temperature ranges to maintain efficacy and patient safety.
Common Storage Conditions (USP <659>)
- Freezer: -25°C to -10°C (-13°F to 14°F)
- Refrigerator (Cold): 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F)
- Controlled Room Temperature (CRT): 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F)
